Group Discussion > Looking for sculptor in the Seattle area

Hello!

So I inherited a few pounds worth of raw jade that was cut into slabs probably about a centimeter thick and about a foot long. As I have no prior knowledge of Jade i'm not sure about the value of it, I can post pictures later if I need to.

My hope is that I might be able to put this jade to good use. I was wondering if there would be a sculptor in the Seattle or Western Washington area that might be able to produce a ring out of what I have in raw. What could I expect for a price range on such a task?

I contacted The Jade Mine from Vancouver and they referred me to Dave Blankenship who I noticed has frequented this forum, I'm not sure if there is another way to contact him or if there is someone else who is closer to my locale.

Thanks,
Nick Martin

P.S. A few of the slabs of raw jade actually appear to have fossils, imprints of leaves, on them. While this is kind of neat I was wondering if this would lessen the value of the Jade.
